Whitecollarboxing.ie are collaborating with Ratoath College Parents Association to bring you; ‘School of Hard Knocks’. Parents Pupils and Past Pupils are pitched together in an epic boxing event in order to raise funds the future development of their local college.
To be crowned champion, 30 brave men and women are putting it all on the line and are currently undertaking an intensive 6 week training programme that will see them go from boxing amateur to pro when they get the ultimate opportunity to compete in a boxing ring on Friday 4th April in the Pillo Hotel Ashbourne Co. Meath.
Former Olympic Boxer, Cathal O’Grady of whitecollarboxing.ie is overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and interest in this event. “Ratoath College Parents Association are delighted with the generosity that has been shown them so far by local companies and individuals in support of the event.” Brendan Newe, Chairperson of the Parents Association, says the committee are delighted with the reaction to date. “So many local individuals and businesses are supporting this event by sponsoring participants, advertisements and fight bouts. RCPA would particularly like to acknowledge the support if their two main sponsors Des Kelly Interiors and The Auld Stand. All sponsors will be given exposure on the night with company name on screens and boxers wearing the name on vests as well as mentions from our MC on the night and in the event programme. RCPA would like to acknowledge the support of Golden Gloves Boxing Club in the heart of the village who have facilitated training for contestants.
Tickets for the event will be on sale in the college each afternoon from 3:15 pm or are available from any of the contestants.
All the proceeds from this show will go towards the Ratoath College Parents Association college development fund in preparation for the building of the new extension
